2009 DS450 Rear Brake Caliper Bolts

Some Serial Nos. 2009 DS 450

Rear brake caliper bolts may be to short. Return to dealer to have bolts replaced.

 

2008, 2009 DS 90 X Tether Switch

Some Serial No. 2008 and 2009 Can-Am DS 90 X.

Engine may fail to shut off when pulling cord from the accessory tether engine shutoff switch. Return  to dealer to have switch removed.

 

2008, 2009 Can-Am Mini DS 70,90 Rubber Parts

All 2008 and some serial nos. 2009 included, DS 70, DS90, DS 90X

Air filter housing, fuel cap gasket, exhaust air admission hose may crack. Return to dealer to have parts replaced.

 

2008, 2009 Mini DS Lead Compliance

Includes some nos. 2008, 2009 DS 70, DS 90, DS90X

Yellow paint on suspension springs may contain lead. Return to dealer to have shock protectors installed to cover springs.

 

2008 DS450 Flywheel Bolts and Engine Mount

All 2008 DS 450

Under frequent starting conditions, the flywheel bolts may loosen and could cause major engine damage. Through race testing in has been determined that under intense, aggressive riding the rear engine mount may fail. Return to dealer to have flywheel bolts replaced and steel sleeve installed in rear engine mount.

 

2008 Outlander Gauge Button

Includes some nos. 2008 Outlander 500, 650 and 800

The magnet on the speedometer button may detach and make it impossible to scroll through the gauge functions. Return to dealer to have button replaced.

 

2006, 2007 Outlander Foot Brake Pedal Height

All 2006, Outlander 650 and 800 some 2007 Outlander 650

In some circumstances, some operators could ride with their foot slightly engaging the brake pedal and not notice due to the high performance of the engine. This would cause the brake to overheat and cause fire or diminished braking. Return to dealer to have a spacer added to the foot pedal to raise the pedal height.

 

2006, 2007 Outlander Erratic Speedometer Needle

Includes some nos. 2006, 2007 Outlander 650 and 800

Some cases of erratic speedometer needle movement. Some speed sensors may generate a stronger magnetic field than others. Metal shavings from normal break-in of gearbox collect on sensor creating noisy speedo signal. Gearbox oil should be changed and shavings removed from sensor and output shaft. If this fails to correct the problem the sensor needs to be replaced.

 

2006 Outlander 800 XT Electrical Issues when using winch

Includes some nos. 2006 Outlander 800 XT

When using winch fault codes may be activated in ECM and the engine may stall. Electrical interference from the winch is causing this. Return to dealer to have a diode harness added to the winch wiring.

 

2006 Outlander 800 Drive Pulley Inner Flange Breakage

Includes some serial nos. 2006 Outlander 800

In some cases the drive pulley inner flange may break. Return to dealer to have new inner flange installed.

 

2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 Outlander, DS 650 Reflectors

Includes all 2003 to 2005 and some nos. 2006 Outlander 330, 400, 650 and 800

Includes all 2000 to 2006 DS 650

Front and rear reflectors need to be added to meet DOT guidelines.

 

2003, 2004, 2005 Traxter, Quest Brake Hose

Includes some serial nos. 2003 Traxter Max, 2004 Traxter, Quest, & Max 2005 Traxter &Traxter Max

Front brake hoses could pull out of their holder and wear on the wheel rim causing brake failure. Return to dealer to have new style retainers installed.

 

Warn Winch Contactor Recall 

Includes many ATV with Warn winches purchased between 2001 and December 2006.

This recall involves Warn 2500 and 3500 winch kits at ATV's with these kits installed on them. Detail of the recall can be viewed at http://www.warn.com/atv/recall_notice.shtml#info .

Consumers who have WARN ATV winches with 8 post contactors should immediately disconnect the contactor wires from their ATV battery, and call their local ATV dealer or WARN to receive a free replacement contactor and installation instructions.
